Postojna, Jama Manor Postojna
Jama Manor, at the entrance to Postojna Cave, was built in 1927 / 28 during the Italian occupation of a large part of the Slovene territory. It was constructed by the Italian architect Palumbo for the administration of Postojna Cave as a residence for personnel and a restaurant. Its Neoclassicist architecture is typical of the period and still creates an impression of excellence and refinement to this day. The Italian influence can be seen in both the exterior and interior of the manor, which not only has an excellent restaurant, but is also an attractive venue.
