On the hill across from Oršić Castle stands the neatly reconstructed baroque Church of St George. The Gornja Stubica parish was first mentioned in 1209, and the church took on its current baroque form in the 18th century. The church is surrounded by a nicely arranged park with rare evergreen plants, among which there is one sequoia. The church stands very close to a protected natural object, the more than 430-year-old Gubec lime tree. It is connected to the legends about the leader of the peasant uprising, Matija Gubec, from 1573.
