Bio Mechthild Karkow:

Mechthild Karkow, winner of the International Competition “Bonporti 2007”, studied violin with Nora Chastain and Ulf Schneider and graduated with distinction in 2005. Since 2002 she has also been studying baroque violin with e.g. Anne Röhrig, Simon Standage, Anton Steck and is extending this main focus in a postgraduate study with Petra Müllejans, Frankfurt.
She performs with various Early Music Ensembles e.g. at Internationale Händel-Festspiele, Forum Alte Musik Zürich, York Early Music estival, Festival International Echternach, and plays in orchestras like European Union Baroque Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Freiburger Barockorchester.
 

Bio Vincent Bernhardt:

Vincent Bernhardt studied the piano before discovering the baroque music and the organ. He is student in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Lyon where he improves in basso continuo, in organ (F Espinasse and L Schlumberger), in improvisation (F Vaudray and G Marghieri) and in composition in baroque style. He also studies the harpsichord in Metz (A. C. Bucher). He followed masterclasses with harpsichord players like Pierre Hantaï, Lars-Ulrik Mortensen, Christian Rieger, Matthew alls, Rudolf Lutz. Vincent Bernhardt was a harpsichordist in the European Union Baroque Orchestra, he was also invited as continuist by the National Orchestra of Lorraine.
